Allerthorpe Park Golf Club   Dress Code

Allerthorpe Park Golf Club Members, Guests and Visitors are respectfully requested to adhere to our Dress Code in order to maintain an acceptable standard of dress at all times whilst on the Course, Teaching Academy, Club House or Terrace.
In order to help clarify the Dresswear Code, the following may be helpful:

  1. FOOTWEAR: Golf shoes of approved types with spikes or soft spikes must be worn on the course at all times.
Golf shoes are not permitted in the Club House other than in the Changing Rooms. Training shoes are not permitted on the course.
  2. TROUSERS, SKIRTS AND DRESSES: It is expected that golfers will wear smart trousers, skirts or dresses appropriate for golf.
Denim jeans, denim skirts or dresses, track suits, leisure\jogging suits, cargo trousers or trousers with pouch pockets are not permitted on the course.
Trousers may not be tucked in to socks or stockings unless acceptable waterproof over-trousers are being worn.
    Exposed braces are not permitted.
  3. SHORTS AND SOCKS: Tailored shorts are permitted on the course and in the Club House provided that they are worn with any coloured plain long socks or short plain white sports socks.
Sports shorts or cargo shorts are not permitted on the course.
  4. SHIRTS: A shirt with collar attached or, alternatively, a roll neck sweater may be worn; shirts are to be tucked in at all times unless they are a specifically made golfing shirt designed to rest over the belt line.
Vest type tee-shirts, scoop or low neck tops are not permitted on the course.
Football, rugby, hockey shirts or tracksuit tops with or without numbers are not allowed.
ALL clothing must not display any excessive advertising motif.
Hats or visors must not be worn in the Club House.

On "Special Occasions" specific dresswear may be prescribed.

MOBILE TELEPHONES: Are permitted on the course and in the Club House, provided they are turned off and are used for emergencies only. They can, however, be discreetly used on the terrace and car park at all times.

ANY PERSON NOT CORRECTLY DRESSED WILL BE REQUESTED TO CHANGE ACCORDINGLY OR WILL BE POLITELY ASKED TO LEAVE THE PREMISES.
