FEATURE HOLES:
6th hole
158 yards, par 3
At first sight, this hole from the elevated tee appears an easy par 3. However, deep bunkers positioned across the front and to both sides defend this raised green. A watercourse, Stone Beck, backed by woodland meanders invitingly along the entire length of the right hand side of the hole and also defines the Out of Bounds!16th hole
451 yards, par 4
Most would agree this is the most difficult hole on the course with a 280 yard drive to the Stone Beck protected by trees. Over the ditch there is a pond to the right hand side of the fairway (a popular ball wash!) and with 171 yards to go, with the wind against you, most golfers would be pleased with a bogey.17th hole
316 yards, par 4
The 17th might only be 316 yards in length, but it is one of the trickiest and most picturesque on the course. From the elevated tee, the dog leg to the green is protected by mature trees and a pond to the left hand side of the fairway. It is therefore essential that the tee shot is accurate, otherwise the second shot to the green would be even more imposing, as it is necessary to cross an area of rough grasses together with the Stone Beck that runs obliquely across the approach to the green, which is also protected by bunkers to two sides and a large pond to the rear.18th hole
151 yards, par 3
This is the hole to remember from your visit to Allerthorpe Park Golf Club, having magnificent views towards the Yorkshire Wolds. From the elevated tee, it is a daunting shot for even the lowest handicap golfer. The shot to the green, which is protected by mature trees, bushes and bunkers on three sides, also requires you to carry a large pond together with the Stone Beck which protects the entire front of the green. A hole to influence all scorecards!Course Opening Times
Course opens daily 8.00 am to sunset.
